Is it not the case that this week is the survey week for payrolls - this Continuing claims increase and next week’s claims data will only flow into the June Report? So yes, some low single digit boost to UR in June payrolls. Is that fair?
For the CPS next week's data for initial is the survey period; continuing claims for the week after THAT is the survey period.
For the CES, it depends on the pay period for each worker - for people paid biweekly or monthly today's initial claims data (and for monthly, continuing) might be relevant.
